Quanta Corporate Citizenship

A little about our own citizenship

At Quanta we believe the best way to be a good citizen is to build a business model that supports and is supported by our citizenship goals, and by keeping things clear and simple.

Everything we do at Quanta evolves around our principles. They are as straightforward and transparent as can be, so that everybody – both internally and externally – knows where we stand, and what we stand for.

Our business model is a consequence and reinforcement of these principles, and evolves around our three key stakeholders: our clients, our society, and ourselves.
Our citizenship and our clients
Our clients are our most important stakeholders. If our work is not good enough or if they do not trust us, we cannot deliver the impact we want to deliver to all other stakeholders. To guarantee that we stay true to our promise of high quality work, we have developed a business model completely different from other consulting firms. Among other things, this model allows us to give the power back to our clients. Our clients decide whether they want to pay after they see the results. And even then, they are the ones who decide how much they want to pay for our work. This not only keeps us fully committed to delivering outstanding work right until the end, but incentivises us to only work with clients for whom we believe we can generate exceptional results. This also means that we will only partner with clients we are confident we can add substantial value to, otherwise we would be taking an unnecessary financial risk.

Furthermore, this unique business model allows us to reach clients that wouldn’t usually trust a niche and new organisation like ours: by reverting the power balance, we give our clients the possibility of trying something completely new without any risk. And, every time a new client decides to work with us, we help them to increase their positive impact, and that is what we are all about.
Our citizenship and society
Our second commitment is to our society. We dedicate 20% of our time and profit to work pro bono with charities and social enterprises. Yes, that reduces our profit but, as we make clear in our principles, we are not in this business for money: for us, money is a consequence of our great work.

Also because of this, we are registered as a for-profit organisation. Yes, we could easily register as yet another not-for-profit consultancy, avoid paying taxes, increase our profits and use them to boost our salaries, as other organizations have done. But we rather prefer to pay our taxes than be perceived as trying to avoid our financial obligations to our society. If we don’t pay our taxes, someone else has to pay them on our behalf.

Our citizenship and our staff
And finally, our third commitment is to ourselves. We are constantly striving to create a light-hearted, creative and friendly organisation. The hours are long, so we try to have fun and continually learn and innovate. Our business model makes sure that everybody is equally committed and we all reap what we sew: at Quanta, we are all partners from the very beginning.

Because of this, we take the job of choosing our colleagues very seriously: we want not only great brains, but also great hearts. Life is just too short for us to work with people who are not amazing human beings.
